COURT ADMINISTRATION

Three Judges, who are elected officials, serve the citizens of Cass County in the Circuit, Probate, and District Courts. One of the three Judges also serves as the Chief Judge of the three Courts pursuant to Michigan’s Chief Judge Rule.

Judges follow applicable laws as well as being guided by the State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) on court administration issues. Our Courts also adopt Local Administrative Orders (LAOs) regarding Court procedures and operations.
